Is this the last remnant of society being polite, before it descends into anarchy for ever?
You let me down, Friday Party Crew. You let me down.
This…makes me rather big-headed and I then I self promote myself all over the place like some card carrying whore!
As for First Capital Connect….announcement?! HA! You must be kidding. You are lucky to get a service run near to time, don’t expect announcements.
Bliss. Quiet carriage…wonderful. Licence to tut and glare at anyone daring to breathe over two decibels! You thought I was bad?! You wait…
Dear reader, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You see, you gave me my biggest audience ever last Friday. I do not know how to thank you other than to praise you with this blog and hope that you keep on spreading the word of the Eavesdroppingcommuter.
It started off with some criticism which I took on board and used and reflected upon. It also showed that differences of opinion can be worked upon, respected and tolerated. I even edited a couple f my blog entries as I respected the critic enough and realised that I may have been in the wrong slightly with how I said something.
It also has shown me that there is a lack of humour in some people. I am just guessing those are either the people who only read the blog entry that they were told to read, or maybe the people who realised that maybe part of what I said may be right. Either way I again respect their right to be sheep or to hide their guilt – but I respect them for having their own opinion (well not the sheep cos they are just following what someone has told them to do).
To those who said I should try letting my hair down and joining in the “fun”. Ok your on. I will, if The Party Crew try being quiet one week. It’s only fair isn’t it? It’s all about compromise.
And then there are my actual supporters who had enough common sense to see that I was actually providing a tongue in cheek commentary on commuting life. Read more than one entry. You will realise this just as they did.
I was told to get a life. I do have a life. It’s the people who take this seriously who don’t. But in their misguided attempt to rally support against the eavesdropper, they gave me ye biggest support. My twitter grew, Facebook page created, and even celebrity endorsements…watch this space guys….
Once again, thank you so much from the bottom of my boots (do my trainers go with my skirt suit? Of course they don’t!!! That’s why I don’t wear them together like some power walking exec!) . In slating me and slagging me off you have promoted my blog. I thank you sincerely.
And a thought to leave you with. This weekend I travelled on First Great Western and sat in a quiet carriage. It was bliss!
The blog will be back on track (fnah!) soon….carry on as you were…the Eavesdropper is about…..
Edited as I respect the views of others, just as I hope they respect I have my views too. Thank you for being honest.
And she sniffed. And sniffed. And sniffed some more
Forecasts of icy rails and disruption – my morning train arrived at London Bridge station on time!
Now some fellow commuters look like half Cybermen or tributes to Anneka Rice (yeah ok that is definitely showing my age!).
